BIOGRAPHY

Bartolomej STANKOVIĆ was born in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1988. He finished Master degree in class of famous Croatian pianist professor emeritus Pavica Gvozdić on Music academy of Zagreb in 2011 and continued study of piano performance on Steinway Academy in Verona in class of Federico Gianello, where he successfully finished Master piano study in 2012.

First steps . . .

Bartolomej started to play piano in 1997 in class of prof. Bahrija Šabanović in Elementary Music School „Avdo Smajlović“ in Visoko. With prof. Bahrija, Bartolomej won two Third-Prizes on Federal competitions in Mostar and Bihać. During the study with professor Bahrija, Bartolomej developed love for piano and music. He graduated from Music High School in Sarajevo in class of prof. Angelina Bojović-Pap. He won First prize on Music Festival of Frederic Chopin (Tuzla 2004.), also Special prize on Federal competition in Tuzla (2005.) and First prize in category piano duo on Federal competition in Livno (2006.)

Music academy . . .

On Academy of Music in Zagreb he often participated as a student assistant, and has held many presentations and lectures on courses of Musical Forms, History of Music, Piano literature and Analysis of interpretation. Also, he has held a lecture „Piano – history and structure“ on Faculty of electrical engineering and computers in Zagreb, project for which he won Rector Prize of University of Zagreb in 2011. Except in Zagreb, project was presented in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Zenica, Visoko & Vareš. He was artistic director of association Tilia Lipik and participated in cycle Virtuoso Zagreb. He played many concerts for Musik&Jugend from Liechenstein in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Italy. Also, Bartolomej won Second prize on Concorso Internazionale „Premio Salieri“ Legnago-Italy in 2012. He participated on masterclasses of eminent professors such as Andrej Pisarev, Grigory Gruzman, Naum Grubert, Peter Eicher, Jan Jiracek von Armin, Arsen Čarkić, Jelena Pavić, Gregor Vidović and Andrea Dindo.

Concert stage . . .

Bartolomej held concerts in Italy (Verona, Negrar, Malcesine), Croatia (Zagreb, Velika Gorica, Slavonski Brod, Pakrac, Lipik, Novalja, Opatija, Slatina i Samobor) and in Bosnia & Herzegovina (Sarajevo, Visoko, Kiseljak, Zenica), played on festivals „Samoborska Glazbena Jesen“, „Dani Milka Kelemena“ in Slatina, „Novaljsko Glazbeno ljeto“, „Visočko ljeto“. In June 2010. played Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto in Dubrovnik with Dubrovnik Symphonic Orchestra under the baton of I. Galioulline. Also, he played many concerts in „HRProjekt“, project of promotion contemporary croatian composers organised by prof. Katarina Krpan. In season 2012./2013. Bartolomej organised and played many concerts dedicated to Debussy, Bach and Musical Journey in Visoko, Zenica, Kiseljak and Sarajevo. On 27th Music Biennale in Zagreb he presented Bosnia & Herzegovina. His debut concert in Sarajevo with Liszt’s Sonata in B minor, Mussorgsky’s Pictures an Exhibition, and two contemporary pieces by Samir Fejzić and Krešimir Seletković was held on 4th February 2014 organised by Matica hrvatska Sarajevo. Organised by same organisation Matica hrvatska Sarajevo, Bartolomej played another concert in Army Hall of Bosnia & Herzgovina in Sarajevo – concert „Ballades and Sonates“ by composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt, Sergej Prokofjev, Blagoje Bersa and Asim Horozić.

Thematic concerts, festivals and presentations . . .

After many thematic concert dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Claude Debussy, Bartolomej played concert for Bach’s 329. birthday with 15 Two-part inventions and many Preludes & Fugues. After winning Rector’s prize University of Zagreb, Bartolomej presented project „PIANO – history and structure“ in many cities in Croatia and Bosnia&Herzegovina. Also, he presented many lectures about Sergei Rachmaninoff, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johann Sebastian Bach etc.
